We want to know more
about local people’s experiences of playing football in Surrey.
Do you have trouble
booking football pitches in Elmbridge or nearby?
What sort of changing
rooms do you expect when playing football in Surrey?
Does your local club
have to meet key standards to join their local football league?
What are the best and
worst changing rooms or football pitches you’ve used locally?
How much does your
football team pay for their pitches and do you ever struggle to collect enough
subs?
What is most important
to you and your team when visiting away pitches?
Would you rate secure
storage and hot showers over a flat pitch that’s out of the wind?
Maybe you don’t play
football but watch your friends or children play. How important to spectators
is a bit of shelter and somewhere to get a hot drink?
The more feedback we
can get from local football teams, parents and spectators, the better we can
make our new facilities.
It seems there is a shortage of pitches, and most teams blockbook for months in advance. I think the pitch/grass/astro is more important than changing facilities - spectators!! we wish.
ReplyDeleteWith very modern facilities at the Excel leisure centre, just a few hundred yards away, yours will need a lot of added extras to trump theirs.
ReplyDeleteChelsea often train some of their juniors down there as far as I know....
Thanks for the comment about Excel Leisure Centre. We'll definitely look into what's already on available. Generally, we're be looking to add extra pitches and facilities rather than compete with the existing providers. Hopefully both sites will be able to find their niche.
