The idea is that both activities will use the same basic facilities like showers and changing rooms. In winter, the site will be busy with football teams ranging from mini-soccer for under 10s to junior and senior teams. Outside of the football season, the pitches will be left to recover, while tourists can stay and enjoy riverside walks, local attractions like Hampton Court Palace and on site activities like archery and quad biking.
Apps Court has been used for by local football teams in the past, as well as for caravan rallies by the Caravan Club. The idea is to reinstate and expand these facilities.
