A Perfect Combination?

Football pitches and camping facilities may not seem like an obvious combination, however their is an argument that they do in fact perfectly suit one another. In fact the combination provides far better options that the development of two seperate sites.

Firstly, Camping and Football require similar facilities, such as hot showers, changings rooms and a social area. On top of this the two activities have their close seasons at opposite ends of the year. This means that rarely will both activities require full use of the facilities.

Secondly, it provides options which seperate facilities could not. For example, a football club may require pitches and accomodation when on a playing tour. Or camping groups may wish to run football tournaments.

Finally, both activities would be well suited to the area, with a shortage of pitches and close proximity to tourist attractions, the camp could provide solutions to mulitple problems.
